Let's Make A Cake!

So, this whole baking spree started with pure boredom on a Friday night. I came home from all my classes and talked to my roommate and we came to the conclusion that there was nothing going on that night, so I came up with the brilliant idea to make an AWESOME cake fondant and all. So, me and Macey got in my car and went to smith's to get the necessary items for our new adventure.

Let the cake making begin! We now had everything we needed to make our cake! Between cracking eggs, measuring oil and beating it all together, it is needless to say that our kitchen became a disaster zone! But after baking 6 cakes all we had to do was wait for them to cool to begin the real work!

Now the real work begins! And as we are in the middle of the cake making process, Laura came home from her lame friday evening movie watching class into our disaster zone! After explaining to her our boredom and why we were making this cake, it didn't take long for her to join in! Rolling out the fondant, then cutting the cakes so we could make tiers. Followed by frosting the layers, then stacking the cake and we finally had it looking pretty legit! All that was left was to decorate! WOO!

Finally after spending Friday night and Saturday morning in the kitchen baking and frosting and coving with fondant we had a finished product! YAY! although it wasn't perfect I would have to say that it looked pretty tasty! For our first attempt at a stacked cake I am pretty proud of what we came out with! :)
